We believe at Heichal Yerushalayim that with a little motivation and confidence, each boy can be a leader for his family, friends and community.
Rabbi Charles Shaul Tebele is our head director and Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Heichal Yerushalayim. Rabbi Tebele comes a very diverse background, which gives him the ability to connect with all types of boys from all backgrounds. Married with 5 children having recently moved to Yerushalayim, the Rabbi and his family are dedicated to growing these boys and help shape their future.
Rabbi Tebele grew up in Brooklyn, NY and went to Magen David Yeshiva elementary school, and attended Ohr Hatorah High School. The Rabbi is a Syrian Community Rabbi who held positions teaching as a Rabbi in Magen David Yeshiva for years teaching and guiding over 120 boys now in community high schools. Also served as a Rabbi delivering shiruim in Shaare Zion and Edmond J. Safra bet Jacob, under the guidance of Rabbi Eli Mansour Shlita. Rabbi Tebele was the director of a High School minyan under the guidance of Rabbi Duvi Ben-Soussan in Magen Avraham, as well as Shaare Tikva in Mill Basin, under Rabbi David Bitton.
Rabbi Tebele received his Rabbincal Semicha from Bet Midrash Shaare Tikvah under the authority of Rabbi David Bitton Shlita. His goals for the Yeshiva are to give the boys a love and excitement for learning Torah, while learning the sources and depth that our Halachic principles are based on. The Rabbi ensures that each boy comes home and integrates into a productive member of our community. Over the years each student stays in contact with the Rabbi and becomes an important role in their years to come. The Rabbi spends the summers in Deal, NJ where each boy can continue learning with the Rabbi back in America.
Boys from 17-21 begin the learning curve of life, developing who they are and who they want to be. Their role models begin to change and their concepts on what is reality changes with each day that passes. It is from these precious years that a boy can rise to his greatest potentials, for these years as the great Piaseczna Rebbe writes in his sefer Chovas Hatalmidim "The youth carry a tremendous responsibility far greater than you realize. It is you the youth who are going to establish the future generations of Klal Yisrael, The geula and coming of Mashiach lies in your hands".
Our Yeshiva follows this message of importance and our Rabbis convey this message with patience and motivation. We believe that letting a boy find his mold by gaining the independence he needs for life and building friendships that will carry him for years.
Our trips and Shabbatons are built around spiritual inspiration, uplifting the spirit while enjoying a good time with the boy`s in Yeshiva gaining moments that last a lifetime. Each boy has a personal relationship with the Rabbis and build a kesher that follows them for years to come.
